Taman Indrahana Toastmasters Club

President, Choi Woon, CC,CL started the meeting by wishing everyone Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year . The word of the day " Happy-Go-Lucky" blended in very well with this meeting, everyone was on festive mood. TME, Jen Wong CC brought the members through an enjoyable session filled with fun and excitement. Alice(Middle) and Dr. Chung(Right) entertaining everyone during the Table Topics session Our new member, Lydia Wang TM won the best table topic speaker Jason Teh, TM (right on the above photo) was delivering his 7th speech from the competent communication manual on subject related to nature, that was about Global Warming. Lim Thian Seng, ACB presented a speech on " the Roast" on LeAnn. The "roast" was acceptable and nothing happened to his car tyres. Before the end of the session, everyone including guest

This was the first joint meeting with Crystal TM Club, which is one of our sponsored clubs. The joint meeting enables club members to get to know other club members better. At the same time, we learned communication and evaluation skills from each other.In this joint meeting, we have assignment speakers and role players from both the clubs and the General Evaluator was Tan Saw Bee, ACS, from Crystal Toastmasters Club.

A wonderful and successful "GUEST NIGHT" was held. There were 24 guests who turned up for this meeting. TME, Yeoh Cheng Lim, CL led the meeting to another wonderful, fun and enjoyable meeting. Table topic master Jen Wong, CC conducted an interesting table topic session followed by the Humour master, Stephen Fernando, ACB that kept us non-stop laughing. We also have the gracious Grace Tan, CTM from Friendship Toastmaster Club as general evaluator (GE). Her sense of humour added more life and laughter to the meeting. We have four new members after this meeting.

Area B3 Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest were held on 3 September 2008. Kay Wong, CTM clinched the champion for the Area B3 Speech Evaluation Contest and Lim Thian Seng, ACB took the third place. Kay Wong went on to represent Area B3 in Division B Speech Evaluation Contest held on 18 October 2008 and took the second place. Our Club Humorous Speech & Evaluation Contest 2008 was held on 26 August 2008. There were 4 contestants for the Humorous Speech Contest and 5 Contestants for the Speech Evaluation Contest. Kay Wong, CTM emerged as the club champion for the Humorous Speech Contest and Han Lee Hwee, CC, CL took the second place. The champion represented the club in AREA B3 contest.
