Youth Leadership Program 30.11.2012-1.12.2012



Our club’s theme for this term is 'Going Beyond Limits' and the club has indeed managed to successfully organised a worthy project, the Youth Leadership Program. Although Taman Indrahana Toastmasters Club has been around for 28 years, yet last November was the first time such a program was ever carried out. Many experienced members graciously volunteered their expertise by being mentors and facilitators during the two days in helping the participants to craft speeches as well as mustering up the courage to speak in front of a crowd. Below are some inspiring emails that we have received from some of the parents.  



Dear organisors,



Thanks for putting up your good work. My husband, Mr Lim was there.  He called to inform me that he couldn`t believe it was his son, Brandon that was speaking on the stage. Brandon is happy that he attended this camp despite he was not too happy to go initially.

I'm Preetika's mom, Priya. I would like to thank all of you for such great effort in organising the leadership program recently. It was really amazing to see the potential of young children with great courage stand out to speak on their favourite topics. Well done to the organisers!



Is it possible to purchase the CD since I missed her entire speech on Saturday and where can I get it. Please let me know as I'm eager to see my daughter's speech. Looking forward to your reply.

It certainly is very encouraging to hear such lovely feedback from the parents and I am sure that these remarks are enough to fuel our members desire to organize another program the next term so that many other children will be able to have the opportunity to improve their self confidence and leadership skills.
