Counting on each other in Toastmasters Club

Toastmasters Club is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills. We aim to provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.


Our president, Ting Pei Lim, CC, CL truly exemplify this spirit when she delivered her speech and presented an unique performance during our installation night on 11th July 2014. She sang 'Count on me' by Bruno Mars while playing ukelele. She conveyed her message to club members that we can count on her and vice versa in this journey of toastmastering.

The lyrics goes like this:-
You can count on me like 1, 2, 3 and I will be there
and I know when I need it, I can count on you like 4, 3, 2, You be there
Cause that what friends are suppose to do...
Yes, we can count on you and you can count on us as this is what a friend suppose to do!

Together, we can learn, develop and grow in terms of public speaking, communication and leadership skills. Our theme for this term encapsulates the idea of teamwork and spirit of toastmasters - R.I.S.E - Ready to Inspire, Speak with Enthusiasm

R= Ready
I= Inspire
S=Speak
E=Enthusiasm

Come and visit us to experience a fun and educational toastmasters meeting to network, fellowship and learn together in communication and leadership!

Please take note on Area B2 Humourous Speech and Speech Evaluatioan Contest as per below: Date: 5th September (Saturday) Time : 2.00pm-5pm Venue :CIMA Toastmasters Club ( Map attach ) Lots 1.03 and 1,05 level 1 KPMG TOWER First Avenue ,Bandar Utama, 47800 , Petaling Jaya As there are 4 clubs in Area B2, each club will send 2 contestants to the contest. Ice Breaker Speech: Myself by Ang Poon Kenn

Good evening everyone, my name is Ang Poon Kenn, everyone calls me Ken. Today, the title of my speech is about Myself. As far as I could recall, me parents were not staying with me since I was 3 years old; they went overseas and started their new working life for some reason, and did not come back ever since. I'm staying with my grandmother, and she look after my elder brother, younger sister and me. I actually have not met my parents for more than 18 years and only communicate through the phone and social media. Can you imagine, 15 years of not seeing your own parents? 18 years of not having parents around the house, school and life.
